Home Computer Initiative Agreement ("HCI") with Atkins PLC ("AP")
The directors are pleased to announce that Meriden Holdings Limited ("MHL") the
100% owned subsidiary of Meriden Group Plc has been chosen to work in
partnership with Fujitsu-Siemens in order to undertake a Home Computer
Initiative scheme ("HCI") for Atkins Plc ("AP").
The HCI division of MHL delivers a consultancy lead service to large
corporations aimed at setting up a tax efficient payroll based deferred computer
purchase agreement under the Government's Home Computer Initiative, and then
dealing with the implementation and supply.
The HCI scheme for AP is likely to be run in quarter four of 2005, and if
successful, it is anticipated to be run again in subsequent years, under the
terms of the agreement.
MHL will act as the HCI consultant and as AP's preferred supplier for the
provision of certain IT products and services to its employees as part of the
scheme. AP employs over 18,000 personnel.
Commenting on the agreement between MHL and AP, Russell Stevens, Chief Executive
