Straight plc today announces the purchase of 12,000 ordinary shares of 1p each
by members of the Board.  The average price paid for each share was 196p.

In addition, the Company announces that 2,968 new ordinary shares of 1p each
("New Ordinary Shares") have been issued following the exercise of options held by
staff (none of whom were directors) in connection with its EMI Share Option
Scheme.

Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares, which will rank pari
passu with the existing shares in issue, to be admitted to trading on AIM, and
it is expected that trading will commence on 19 July 2007
