Perceptual Objective Listening Quality Assessment (POLQA) to
its market-leading BrixCall product line. POLQA is the newest voice
quality measurement technique standardized in P.863 by the
ITU-T.
With Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) entering commercial
deployment phase, service providers are looking forward to
capitalize on premium services such as high-definition (HD) voice.
The high-definition market is extremely demanding and service
providers need to assure at all times that high fidelity
impairment-free voice is actually being delivered. POLQA allows for
true customer experience analysis of HD voice services.
POLQA provides superior measurement of common
voice and HD voice quality impairments such as loss of fidelity,
speech clipping, unacceptable noise levels, transcoding errors,
excess latency and echo. POLQA support will be added to EXFO's
market leading BrixCall product line. BrixCall is an advanced
active testing and live call signaling and media analysis
application providing comprehensive visibility into the performance
of VoIP, VoLTE, IMS rich-media and video call traffic.
