SAP) today announced the latest versions of supply chain management
solutions, which will be presented and demonstrated in various
sessions and pods at the SAP-Infotag Lager- und Transportmanagement
Conference being held in Mannheim, Germany, November
22.

SAP solutions for supply chain execution include the SAP®
Transportation Management (SAP TM), SAP® Extended Warehouse
Management (SAP EWM) and SAP® Event Management applications, all
integrated in a single platform. Designed to work independently or
integrated with the other solutions, the newest versions of these
solutions aim to deliver substantial new tools and features.
Planned updates for each application include:
- SAP TM: improved ocean and air freight management, superior
manual transportation planning, integration with Extended Warehouse
Management, improvements to transportation cost distribution,
freight settlement and tracking and additional transportation
management analytics, reports and dashboards
- SAP EWM: new dock appointment scheduling capability to
collaborate with carriers and manage the activities at the
warehouse docks, rapid-deployment solutions to deploy SAP EWM, a
rapid-deployment solution for migrating warehouse management from
SAP ERP to SAP EWM or use SAP EWM in a retail environment and
integration to SAP TM
- SAP Event Management: additional content for supply chain
execution visibility, geo-tracking capabilities and embedded maps,
usability improvements and enhanced content for SAP TM
