Series races. Edwards won the Auto Club 500 at California Speedway
and the UAW-Dodge 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dale Earnhardt
Jr., the newest Hendrick Motorsports driver, won the Budweiser
Shootout, the traditional kickoff to the NASCAR Sprint Cup season
held the week before the Daytona 500 at Daytona International
Speedway. Earnhardt also won the Gatorade Duel 1 and Joe Gibbs
Racing driver Denny Hamlin won the Gatorade Duel 2 at Daytona
International Speedway. KB Racing's Greg Anderson, the three-time
NHRA Pro Stock world champion, won the CARQUEST AUTO PARTS
