As required under the terms of the above Act, I am writing to advise you of the
following transactions affecting notifiable interests held by the above
Company;

16.01.04 Sold 7,360,000 Ordinary 5p shares

These transactions leave the Trust's holding at 10,572,162 Ordinary 5p shares,
which according to our records, now represents a holding of 3.662% of this
class of capital.

The Shares will be held in the name of HSBC Global Custody Nominees Ltd.
