BRS Enters into Manufacturing Agreement with CIMSA Ingenieria de Sistemas SA (Spain)
Tuesday February 13, 4:00 pm ET

SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:BRSI - News; BRSparachutes.com), a manufacturer of whole-aircraft parachute recovery systems for general aviation and recreational aircraft, announced that it entered into a manufacturing agreement with CIMSA Ingenieria de Sistemas (Barcelona, Spain), a designer and manufacturer of a variety of military parachutes for the European market as well as advanced ram-air wings for precision aerial delivery. Under the terms of the agreement, BRS will fabricate CIMSA-designed parachute components for export to Spain.
"This agreement allows us to leverage our long-standing parachute manufacturing expertise outside of our own organic customer base. We will learn new manufacturing techniques from CIMSA which can only help us with our own product mix, while CIMSA gains an additional partner as it gains momentum for their products in the Latin American and US markets," BRS CEO Larry Williams said. "It's definitely win-win for both of us as we help each other understand new markets and manufacturing techniques."

"BRS and CIMSA are very complementary in terms of products and corporate structure. We speak the same technical language and have the same passion and demand for high quality products and processes. It will be a comfortable transition for both parties," says BRS VP of International Operations, Gary Moore.

Full production of CIMSA's products begins February 19th and orders are expected to continue on a regular basis for the foreseeable future.

Ballistic Recovery Systems has delivered more than 25,000 parachutes since beginning operations in 1980. More than 3,000 BRS systems are flying on certified aircraft with that number growing rapidly. BRS is credited with saving the lives of 199 pilots and passengers.

CIMSA Ingenieria de Sistemas is an engineering based European leading parachute manufacturer with a wide product range in personnel military parachutes, aerospace parachute components, sports parachutes and precision aerial delivery systems. After more than 60 years of existence it has fully certified design and manufacturing operations and develops strong ties with a myriad of European customers.

The forward looking matters discussed here should be considered subject to risks and uncertainties, including market fluctuations, pricing, procurement, manufacturing efficiencies, and other risks that could cause the actual results to differ materially from those projected. I think there are other systems available for the consumer for airplanes but really none of them including brsi have any real marketing to let people know what they have or maybe I just never seen it.

Just last weekend four people died in a small plane crash. You would think that when people fly they would want to have a back-up system in case they would have trouble with the airplain. I don't know if people aren't aware of brsi parachute systems are they're to confident they think they will never have a problem flying.

The cost I think would be little when you consider the lost of life. When you look at the small plane crashes where they lost whole family's, Corporate jets that have lost their board members and copany officials all at once. The price looks pretty small. I don't think they are aware of this company and what they do. They are so under the raydar. Just like that congressman that died in MO. when he was campaining if he had this on his plane he very well could have been saved. Not that I believed in his politicks. And anyone who can own a plane should be of the wealth that the price would not matter.

That's a great idea, it would really change brsi into much bigger company but the cost of putting one in every small plane would probly be to expensive . You would get to many people bitchen about the cost.

I sure hope so. and then more. I was considering this a long long term play when I first invested. But I'm not sure anymore. When I first invested I looked upon it that it was possiable for the congress on safety for these small planes that they might require the product on all small planes. Just like seat belts in cars. Do you think that is ever possiable.

Company does have a corporate presentation on the 15 of Febuary might get a pr from that. The last few news releases have been favorable, thats why the price of the shares has increased. 5 dollors a shares seems a ways off but if they can keep heading in the right direction we will see that price for there shares again.

I have been in this stock a long time. I'm in the red. I purchased it when it was a $5.00 and it has steadly droped. I can't find the reason for this. I know they have had board changes and a couple of law suits. One of which they have settled. But I would think it would take more than that. Do you see anything happening in the future that would be more bright.
