Including major Russian IT companies in the country's list of
strategically important firms won't influence their investment
appeal, Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov told reporters
Wednesday, Interfax reported.
Strategically important companies include such companies as gas
giant OAO Gazprom (GAZP.RS) and Channel One, which is widely
watched by Russians.
The State Duma's ownership committee has proposed a law that
would make major Internet companies such as Mail.Ru Group Ltd.
(MAIL.LN), Yandex NV (YNDX) and Russian social networking websites
Vkontakte.Ru and Odnoklassniki.Ru strategic.
