Valmie Resources Inc. (OTCBB:VMRI) today announced its revolutionary end-to-end cloud platform, AIMD (Autonomous Intelligence for Mobile Devices), which will help users manage and control independent mobilized devices with a unique set of data services. This new platform, currently in development, will have the capability to take drones – and other unmanned vehicles – to another, even smarter level.

“Valmie is creating a powerful and feature-rich modular platform for enhancing the connection between many types of unmanned vehicles, including drones, and other smart systems,” said Gerald B. Hammack, President and CEO of Valmie Resources. “The AIMD platform will not only enable collection and transmission of the most precise data and images, but also will provide improved analysis, reporting, and in some cases include the capability to deploy action in order to immediately address detected issues.”

The difference between AIMD and other systems will be its improved ability to act on real-time operational intelligence and effective workflow – accessible anywhere, anytime. The AIMD platform, abundant with enhancements and the capability for robust customization, will collect data from the unmanned vehicle’s independent controller units back to a cloud-based modular resource network for aggregation and analysis. The AIMD platform will have the capability to determine intervention thresholds, quickly route pre-determined responses, communicate critical information to the operator, and in some cases deploy solutions in real time.

The exciting unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or drone sector is estimated to reach worldwide spending of $98 billion over the next decade, according to Business Insider. With platforms that serve as critical tools for data analysis, enabling mapping, surveying, 3D modeling and more, drones are currently in use across multiple industries around the world, including agriculture, construction, infrastructure, search and rescue, and ecological study.

“Valmie is looking ahead and concentrating on technology that will be in demand tomorrow. It is clear that UAV’s and other robotic devices are a key growth trend that will not only impact countless industries but also our total economy,” said Hammack.

Financially out of reach just a few years ago, advancements in hardware similar to that of smartphones are allowing the development of affordable components required to fly and control drones, leading to increased production and lowered costs.

According to a report by Littler Mendelson, the world’s largest labor and employment law firm, “Robotics is the fastest growing industry in the world, poised to become the largest in the next decade.”

Unmanned aerial vehicles are part of a larger robotics industry that includes unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) such as the autonomous cars, unmanned surface vehicles (AUV), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV), and unmanned spacecraft.
