Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification in accordance
with Sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985 that Deutsche Bank AG and its
subsidiary companies (together "Deutsche Bank") has a notifiable interest in
35,093,456 Ordinary Shares of 25p each in Chloride, being 14.15% of the issued
ordinary share capital of Chloride.



The previous position notified by Deutsche Bank was on 28 October 2002, when an
interest in 34,523,461 (13.92%) Chloride ordinary shares was disclosed.
