     The Directors' Dealing Investment Trust Plc ("DDIT" or the "Company") 
 
                        Requisition of General Meeting 
 
The Board announces that the Company has received a written requisition to 
convene a general meeting from Manchester & Metropolitan Investment Ltd 
("MMIL"), the Company's largest shareholder, which currently holds 45.7 per 
cent. of the issued share capital. 
 
MMIL has requested that ordinary resolutions be proposed to appoint each of 
Brett Miller and Liam Murray as directors of the Company, to remove Garth Milne 
as a director of the Company and to remove any director from office who is 
appointed between the date of the requisition and the date of the general 
meeting. 
 
The requisition follows a recent meeting with Mr M Sheppard, a director of 
Midas Investment Management Limited ("Midas"), who requested that the Board 
appoint Midas as the Company's investment manager and also proposed a change to 
the Company's investment policy. Midas is the investment manager of Manchester 
and London Investment Trust Plc, whose largest shareholder is also MMIL. 
 
The Board will provide an update to shareholders in due course.
