Manchester & London Investment Trust PLC ("MLIT") announced earlier today that 
it will make an offer for Stakeholders' Momentum Investment Trust PLC ("SMIT"), 
which will be subject to the approval of MLIT Shareholders. 
 
MLIT now announces that copies of the Circular to MLIT Shareholders together 
with copies of a document which is equivalent to a prospectus (the "Prospectus 
Equivalent Document") which will also be sent with the Offer Document to SMIT 
Shareholders have been delivered to and are available for inspection at the 
Document Viewing Facility of the FSA at:

The Circular, Prospectus Equivalent Document and Offer Document (together with 
certain other documents) are also available for inspection during usual 
business hours on any business day (Saturdays and public holidays excepted) at

and MLIT's registered office at Arthur House, Chorlton Street, Manchester M1 
3FH.
