            InTechnology plc announces strategic partnership with
                               Compaq Germany


InTechnology plc, the advanced data technology services company today
announces a strategic partnership with Compaq Computer GmbH in Germany.
Compaq Germany will exclusively sell VBAK, InTechnology's online backup and
retrieval service through their German sales channels.  InTechnology will
continue to provide product development, service delivery and support via its
extensive network and data centre infrastructure while Compaq will market and
sell the VBAK service to end user customers and through channel partners, as
part of their expanding customer service portfolio.

of Compaq Global Services, Compaq Germany.



Commenting on the partnership, Peter Wilkinson, Chief Executive of
InTechnology said: "I am delighted that the partnership we enjoy with Compaq
in the UK is mirrored by the new agreement in Germany which will rapidly
increase volumes of VBAK sales in the market.  We believe there is currently
in excess of 400,000 networks in Germany that would benefit from VBAK."



With secure offsite storage for corporate data becoming a key issue for
business managers everywhere, the VBAK online backup service has significant
growth prospects in all sectors of the German economy.



VBAK provides secure and reliable backup of data on a daily basis. Data is
automatically encrypted on the client site and transferred via a leased line
to a secure Data Centre where it is held in a robust infrastructure. Files can
be restored rapidly.
