Announcement regarding bank facilities

Merlin Entertainments plc ("Merlin") today announces that it has successfully completed the refinancing of certain of its banking facilities.

Specifically, its revolving multi-currency credit facility has been increased from GBP300 million to GBP600 million with the repayment date extended to April 2023. GBP294 million equivalent has been drawn down from this facility and, along with cash on the balance sheet, used to repay GBP377 million equivalent of sterling and US dollar-denominated term loans.

Following this transaction therefore, Merlin's facilities are as follows:

   --     $311 million term loan maturing in March 2020 (previously $540 million) 
   --     GBP43 million term loan maturing in March 2020 (previously GBP250 million)

-- GBP600 million multi-currency revolving credit facility maturing in April 2023, of which GBP294 million is drawn (previously GBP300 million facility maturing in March 2020 with GBP nil drawn)

   --     EUR700 million of notes maturing in March 2022 (unchanged)

Merlin continues to expect a financing charge of approximately GBP50 million in 2018.
