Contract Win and Final Results Release Date

Optare is pleased to announce that it has won a contract valued at GBP1.2 million to supply Manchester Airport with six Versa hybrid buses supported by the Government's Green Bus Fund. The first of the buses will enter service in September 2011.

The Company also confirms that the Company's results for the year ended 31 December 2010 will be announced on 9 May 2011.

Optare CEO, Jim Sumner, said: "We are very pleased to be bringing our hybrid technology to Manchester Airport. Their operation at one of the UK's most important international gateways will showcase Optare's environmentally-friendly hybrid buses to the millions of people passing through the airport to and from the over 200 destinations it serves worldwide."
