    VOCALIS WINS CONTRACT TO SUPPLY NEW SPEECH DRIVEN
             OPERATOR SYSTEM IN THE AMERICAS
                            
Vocalis   Group  plc,  the  Cambridge  UK  based   speech
recognition telephony company, confirms today that a  new
contract has been signed with Ericsson Telecom AB for the
supply   of  SPEECHtel  to  a  major  telecommunications
network   provider  in  the  Americas.    Initially   the
SPEECHtel  system  will provide a fully automated  speech
driven Collect Call ("reverse the charge") service.   The
value  of the contract is worth in excess of #2.5 million
to Vocalis.

a  world  leader in speech driven services for  telecomms
network   operators,"  comments  Jonathan   Hart,   Sales

the   network  operator  and  the  customers  are  clear;
