Youchange is able to manage their collections events and
sell used products because of the proprietary software it has built
over the past two years. This software allows youchange to
analyze individual items to determine the best method to extend
that products life – recycle, refurbish or immediate resale. The
software then serializes the items, lists them for sale, manages
payments and shipping and even determines the best days to post and
sell items online based on its proprietary algorithm. This software
makes it possible to efficiently manage these events and return the
highest value possible back to the schools.
Additional contests are currently being planned for 2013 and
include a 100-school challenge for January and February and a
200-school challenge for next Earthday! Youchange has
plans on expanding nationally and opening new centers to reach the
over 100,000 schools in the United
States alone.
