Portugal has hired banks for a forthcoming 10-year benchmark government bond issuance with maturity in October 2034, with the transaction to be launched and priced in the near future, one of the lead manager banks said Wednesday.

The banks mandated as joint lead managers are BNP Paribas, CaixaBI, Citi, Credit Agricole CIB, J.P. Morgan and Santander.
