Stonepath Group (AMEX:STG), the global logistics services organization, today announced the Company has been awarded a significant logistics project by Alexandria, Louisiana-based MARTCO, LP, producers of innovative forest products. Revenue for this project is well in excess of $1 million. MARTCO has engaged Stonepath to orchestrate the complete logistics solution for the movement of their oriented strand board (OSB) production line from Germany and Canada to Oakdale, Louisiana. The comprehensive end-to-end solution encompasses transportation, insurance and customs clearance for equipment, which includes heavy freight (up to 110 metric tons) that will travel on special vehicles from Windsor, Ontario, to Louisiana, as well as via two charter vessels from Hamburg, Germany.
