Terremark Worldwide, Inc. (AMEX:TWW) a leading operator of
integrated Internet exchanges and a global provider of managed IT
infrastructure solutions for government and private sectors, today
announced that Sandd, a leading provider of postal and logistic
services, has signed a multi-year contract with Dedigate, N.V.,
Terremarks managed hosting subsidiary, to host their systems in
the Netherlands. After an extensive selection process, Sandd, one
of the largest postal companies in Holland, elected to entrust the
hosting of their mission-critical Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) and back-office systems to Dedigate because of the robust,
innovative solutions and the scalability offered by Dedigates
platforms. The Dutch postal market is characterized by the
efficient services and low postal rates. In order to deliver an
excellent price-quality ratio, we are focused on improvements in
our operational performance, says Laurens Oppers, ICT Manager of
Sandd. That is why we, in consultation with Magnus, our consulting
firm, decided to outsource the management of our core IT systems to
an external managed hosting specialist like Dedigate. According to
Andr Damsteegt, Magnus consultant, Dedigates experience in
managing the infrastructure that supports the mission-critical ERP
systems was one of the reasons we recommended Dedigate. Dedigate
offers the swift and efficient service Sandd needs to continue
excelling in their core company processes. Dedigate will provide
Sandd with a robust, manageable and secure server environment to
ensure Sandds ERP and back-office system availability. A secondary
data center will facilitate a testing environment and can act as
backup for the primary production environment in case of
emergencies, such as the unusual tropical storms suffered in
northern Europe these past weeks. We are very pleased with Sandds
decision to select Dedigate as their hosting partner, said Joost
Metten, Dedigates CEO. We have designed a custom infrastructure
to meet Sandds needs and demands while offering the redundancy
necessary for their most critical systems, even in case of a major
peak in traffic due to an unusual natural disaster. About Sandd:
