AT&T Declares Increased Quarterly Dividend 
                                        
    BEDMINSTER, N.J., Sept. 15 -- AT&T's Board of Directors today 
declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.2375 (23.75 cents) per share, 
payable November 3, 2003, to AT&T common shareowners of record at the close of 
business on September 30, 2003. 
    The company noted that the new dividend is an increase of 27 percent, or  
5 cents per share, from the previous quarterly dividend.  AT&T announced its 
intent to implement this increase in July 2003.  AT&T Corp. has paid 
consecutive quarterly dividends for more than 105 years. 
    The common share dividends will go to about 2.8 million shareowners.
