MILPITAS, Calif., March 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Aviat
Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVNW), the leading expert in microwave
networking solutions, today announced the successful completion of
IP/MPLS interoperability testing and participation in an
interoperability showcase organized by EANTC at MPLS + SDN + NFV
World Congress in Paris,
France.
A variety of MPLS-based services and IP synchronization
capabilities were validated between Aviat microwave routers
and layer 3 microwave solutions from Ericsson
and SIAE Microelettronica, as well as with
standalone routers from some of the industry's most prominent
router vendors.
"Integrating IP/MPLS into microwave products reduces the number
of network devices, lowering the total cost of ownership whilst
improving overall performance," stated Ola
Gustafsson, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer,
Aviat Networks. "With these tests, Aviat has demonstrated
interoperability of key network functions in a third-party lab
environment and operators can be confident including Aviat IP/MPLS
microwave routers when rolling out multi-vendor IP/MPLS
deployments."
A whitepaper explaining all the tests and results can be
obtained from EANTC at http://www.eantc.de/showcases/.
