Capricor Therapeutics Inc (CAPR) Options

Excellent that $21 support held. I was nervous for a little bit.
Now let’s break $22.50 so we can have clear sailing to $30 with target $35.
I am confident (sort of) that this will occur.
Here’s hoping.

Failed $22.50 break multiple times.
Probably time to consolidate before next run.
Might drop and find support at $19.50.
Hopefully not.
Still looking and hoping for volume to power this past $22.50 for good.

The stock chart is showing a nice ascending triangle from Sept 30th breakout from $10.
Using my novice chart skills, I get a target of $35 for the stock (flag pole from $10 to resistance at $22.50 = $12.50).
$22.50 plus $12.50 = $35. Sounds good to me.
Lower trendline has shown nice support but if the stock moves back to $20 then stock might drop back to $17.50.
Let’s what happens this week.
Hoping for move to $25 if the market looks good.

I think what helped the most is that the OS is only 44.7 Mil. with that added in. It appears that a lot of traders are holding making it trade very thin.

That dilution went about as well as any I’ve seen. The news did not even bring us below 18 for more than a wick or two. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the underwriters made out quite well, at least an extra dollar per additional share issued (~5M). Nice work if you can get it.

Hopefully yesterday was a technical sell off to show $20 support level.
Maybe get rid of those low hanging stop loss orders.
I am not worried about another financing so I expect a nice move to $25 then $30 by EOY.

You never know but these $20 stocks tend to move to $25 or even $30.
I wouldn’t mind a nice 25% profit here.

Piper Sandler analyst Edward Tenthoff initiates coverage on Capricor Therapeutics (NASDAQ: $CAPR) with an Overweight rating and a price target of $35.00.

The analyst comments: "Capricor is developing deramiocel (CAP-1002) to treat cardiomyopathy in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) boys. In the Phase II HOPE-2 trial (N=20), deramiocel slowed LVEF decline by 107% vs. placebo at 12 months. (p=0.002) At World Muscle Society, HOPE-2 OLE data showed deramiocel achieved an 8.1 point improvement in median LVEF and 11.0ml/m2 benefit in median End Systolic Volume vs. external controls at 2 years with benefit maintained out to 3 years. Capricor has begun the rolling BLA submission, and deramiocel could gain FDA approval for DMD cardiomyopathy in 2H:25. Deramiocel is partnered globally with Nippon Shinyaku with Capricor retaining 30-50% of potential blockbuster revenues, plus up to $1.5 billion in milestones. Capricor recently issued 5.1 million shares at $17 raising gross proceeds of $86 million, bringing pro forma cash to ~ $198 million excluding 3Q:24 burn."

I knew the dilution was coming. I guess I was hoping that news would be later, not this week. Like the earnings report that will be a negative number (but not as negative as last quarter).

Dips are buying opportunities, but when they are based on fundamental rules of supply and demand, I wonder if there is a hurry any more. Need to know what the new plateau is. Again, I guess it was too much to ask for that to be established after this week.

It looked like we would hold at 20. Then they diluted our shares. I hate when that happens. Didn’t they have enough cash to survive until we would be profitable? Hopefully good news is coming and that extra money will be used for growth

Great day today. We started out down and then reversed and had trouble getting thru 20. Since I was having eye surgery today, I put in to sell 7250 shares at 20.20. It looked good for a while when we went down to low 19’s. I tried to buy back at 18.65 but never got there. This was my 3rd time selling and buying back and selling again. I’m done. Keeping my 40.000 shares until we get to 30-40.

We ran up to 23.40 before some profit taking. Some of you are looking for a 10% correction. I use Fibonacci numbers / Elliott Wave.
We went from 4 to 22 which is 18 and then went down to around 15; a 7 point retracement. 7/18 is around 38%.

Next Wave took us from 15 to 23+. Going up 8 points means that selling should take us down 3. Expect support at 20 before the next big up move.Have a great week. Let’s Go Mets and Guardians!

Just another day at the office with Capricor. Up 15%+ again. Do we get the 10% sell off before resuming the climb? That would still be a respectable gain of 7.5%. If we close above 22, that will be rarefied air for anyone in this for less than 6 years. Held the 21 handle briefly two weeks ago.

I have already played a couple of dips this week. Now waiting for a legitimate correction.

I’m buying some XRP with my profits and averaging down on some of my other losers. taking out some cash for vacations

agree. think retracement over till 25-30 range then probably 20% retract. but for the most part your bulk idea is solid. using 20-25% of your shares is a good way to hedge and try to get free shares. You already have profit so use it.

15.35 could be a good retracement of about 35% of the gain. We might retest that level but I wouldn’t risk it.
HC Wainwright raised their target from 40 to 70. I’m holding my core of 40,000 shares but I’m trading 7-10,000 shares for travel spending money. Planning a safari for my wife’s 70th. Sold over 20 twice and bought back at 17-18. If I can make 2-3 several times I’ll take it. If I sell and it never comes down for me to buy back, that’s fine too. I’ll still have my core. Good luck to everyone.

Day trading this one would have been fun. Actually, since there are only monthly options available on Capricor, I just sold a few more contracts expiring next week. I hardly ever buy options any more, although I did get into and out of a couple contracts expiring today on another ticker. Used the profit to cover the cost of a protective put here on this one. That should calm the nerves a bit next week as the expiration clock starts ticking louder. Not rooting for a down Monday, but if it comes, I will be ready.

Note to self: buy low, sell high.

Fun day: up 18% first thing in AM, then down 17%, only to recover 5%. If you only looked at the modest 3.8% green at the end of the day, you might have no clue as to the action. Unless, of course, you've been here for more than a few days.

Nevertheless, two days in a row of correction percentages was a bit much after almost all green for three weeks. Really three days of -10% if you start from the early morning top of Tuesday.

And as I type this, it seems to be bouncing quite strongly in the final hour or so. Will you accept 15.35 as low enough for that retracement?

We went from 4 to 22, a gain of 18. If you follow Elliott Wave Theory and Fibonacci numbers, it would be normal to give back 38% of the gain before the next wave up. We should go down to 15.16 and then have a huge upward move up to 45.

Resistance hit yesterday; where is the support today? Is this thing looking to finish next week around 17.50? Open interest for October 18 options suggest a lot of people will be disappointed if this does not get back to 20 by then.

Traders would probably file this under "buy the rumor, sell the news." Or buy before the conference; sell into the conference.

I'm going to have to be more nimble if I want to open any more short term option contracts. (Only ten days to go.)

Well, I am definitely at least half right.

As for hitting that magical big round number target that people still dream about (even though inflation has destroyed the value, so it's just a number)... heck, I just need this quarter to be as good as last quarter, and I will be in good shape. It won't be as easy, as I don't think I have another quadruple like CAPR in my portfolio.

Looks like I just closed my October 20 call position at 2 bucks a contract. I know it is tempting to hold out for more when the thing is running, to wait and see where it ends up, but I opened that play a few days ago. My rule is: if immediately proved right, take profits; no need to wait until expiration. Besides, I also had October 15's. By cutting that position in half, I can let the rest (all house money) run. Well above the option strike price now. I will sell more cash covered puts if and when it dips.

Congratulations to all longs who have kept the faith.
I am replying to my last post from 1/3/24. I am still holding my 50,000 shares since 2020. I sold some and bought back more. Last buy was 11/15/23 at 3.30. I have listened to every conference call. The last one was amazing. I like the way Linda is talking about other types of DMD and other kinds of cardiomyopathy. As you see with Ozempic, once a drug is approved for 1 indication, it can be used for whatever the doctor wants to prescribe it for as long as there is some research showing that it can help. I also like the way we are positioned to ramp up in Europe and Japan.

I think we are an excellent candidate to be bought out by Amgen or another big biotech or Pharma. I’m considering selling 10,000 shares and buying back 1.00 lower. If I could do that 3-4 times, I’ll be happy but I’ll be happier if I sell and never get the chance to buy back. Holding 40,000 shares until we go much higher or get bought out.
