Job Composer bridges the gap in managing large
files and complex semiconductor settings from first article
production to manufacturing for a global supply chain
Data I/O Corporation (NASDAQ: DAIO), the leading global provider
of advanced data and security programming solutions for flash,
flash-memory based intelligent devices and microcontrollers, is
pleased to announced that it has received a 2019 NPI Award in the
category of Device Programming for the new Job Composer Software
Application for the LumenX programming engine. The award was
presented to the company during a Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 ceremony
that took place at the San Diego Convention Center during the IPC
APEX EXPO.
"Automotive electronics manufacturers are challenged to manage
the rapid growth of file sizes driven by the autonomous and
connected car and distribute up to a hundred or more these software
variants across a global supply chain," said Anthony Ambrose,
President and CEO of Data I/O Corporation. "Job Composer
streamlines this process enabling customers to streamline, manage
and control the job creation process from a central design location
and transfer the job configuration to the local production site for
final compilation at the time of programming."
Data I/O’s Job Composer Software is designed to solve the
problems that OEMs and Programming Centers face when managing large
files, complex semiconductor device settings, tens to hundreds of
code variants and device expertise in order to create a programming
job. It enables electronic manufacturers to streamline the
programming job creation process by simplifying this management,
improve transferring the job from design/First Article to
production dispersed in different factories and geographies, and
minimizing opportunities for human error.
Job Composer is ideal for customers with a globally dispersed
supply chain or customers managing code variants and last-minute
software changes. The software is an integrated plug-in application
into the LumenX Data Management Software Suite.
The Job Composer Software Application for the LumenX programming
engine is supported in Data I/O’s PSV7000 and PSV5000 automated
programming systems. The combination of the Job Composer Software
Application with the LumenX programming technology in the PSV7000
and PSV5000 delivers an integrated solution bridging the gap from
the design/First Article process to the manufacturing process
enabling customers to create and program these extremely large
files on the industry’s the fastest handling and programming speed
with the largest capacity, flexibility and fast changeover for the
lowest total cost of ownership with the highest quality.
Premiering in 2008, the NPI Awards program is an annual
celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount
assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative
advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of
industry experts.
