For second consecutive year, Huron receives
Excellence in Social & Community Investment Award
Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of
business consulting services, today announced that the Company has
been recognized by Consulting magazine as a recipient of its
Excellence in Social & Community Investment Award. Huron was
selected for its pro bono work with Test Positive Awareness
Network (TPAN).
“We are honored to once again receive the Excellence in Social
& Community Investment Award from Consulting magazine,” said C.
Mark Hussey, chief operating officer and chief financial officer,
Huron Consulting Group. “Our employees are extremely passionate
about both the clients they serve and giving back to the community.
Working with TPAN gave us an opportunity to combine both of those
passions. I want to thank TPAN for the opportunity to work together
and Huron’s employees for their dedication to serving our
communities.”
Huron was selected for its work with TPAN, whose mission is to
empower individuals living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS to live
open, healthy, and productive lives. TPAN needed assistance
developing a strategic plan, addressing short-term opportunities
with their newsletter Positively Aware and creating a digital
roadmap of potential future technologies. TPAN continues to work
with Huron on refining and executing their five-year strategic
plan.
“When I first joined TPAN as CEO more than a year ago, I was
concerned about initiating a strategic plan given the vast amount
of change we had been through as an organization. Then I met the
Huron staff. They were so knowledgeable about our agency and the
surrounding community resources that I knew we were in capable
hands,” said Patti Capouch, chief executive officer, TPAN. “Huron
treated TPAN as a paying client and not a pro bono client. I’m
excited to implement their recommendations and improve service
delivery for our clients and our community.”
Huron, through its Huron Helping Hands program, encourages
year-round employee involvement in civic sponsorships, community
service, pro bono activities and charitable giving through its
matching gifts program. Headquartered in Chicago, Huron has a
worldwide workforce of nearly 3,000 professionals. In addition to
the recognition by Consulting magazine for its civic work, Huron
