TracVision 4-HP and TracPhone F33 Named "Best Entertainment" and "Best Communications" Products by North American Marine Electronics Dealers The votes are in and the accolades keep coming now that KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) has won "best product" awards from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) eight years in a row. "The annual Product Awards offer NMEA members the opportunity to recognize the highest standards of excellence in design, performance, and reliability in marine electronic equipment," said Mark Young, chairman of the NMEA Product Award committee. The NMEA awards were especially competitive this year as the number of categories was reduced from 23 to 7, including the elimination of the "best satellite television" and "satellite communications product" categories, which had been swept by KVH in each of the last 7 years. For the first time, KVH's products were competing not just against other satellite products but all forms of onboard entertainment systems as well as communications products as varied as VHF radio and onboard cellular systems. The awards were presented on October 15, 2005, at the 2005 NMEA Convention held in Naples, Florida.
