FREEHOLD, N.J., Nov. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Monmouth Capital Corporation (NASDAQ:MONM) reported a net income of $1,094,000 or $0.27 a share for the nine months ended September 30, 2005, as compared to $1,025,000 or $0.31 a share for the nine months ended September 30, 2004. Shares Outstanding 4,028,000 3,273,000 The increase in net income for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2005 as compared to the three and nine months ended September 30, 2004 is due mainly to the acquisitions made by the Company at the end of 2004 and in 2005. In addition, the increase in net income for the three months ended September 30, 2005 as compared to three months ended September 30, 2004 was due to an increase in the income from the investment in futures contracts. Realized gain (loss) on futures contracts for the three months ended September 30, 2005 and 2004 was $78,041 and ($235,788), respectively. Realized loss on futures contracts for the nine months ended September 30, 2005 and 2004 was ($52,596) and ($128,751), respectively.
