ATLANTA, Dec. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Streamline
Health Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: STRM), a leading provider of
enterprise content management, business analytics, computer
assisted coding (CAC), and clinical documentation improvement (CDI)
solutions for healthcare providers, today announced the relocation
of its corporate headquarters from Cincinnati, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to Atlanta,
Streamline Health will continue to maintain offices in Cincinnati and New
York City. Currently the growing company has approximately
115 associates with plans to add nearly 25 more in the coming year
to help support its expanded client base and solutions development
organization.
"The selection of Atlanta as
our corporate headquarters will help strengthen our ability to
drive future growth, hire talented associates and deliver value to
our clients and shareholders," said Robert
E. Watson, President and Chief Executive Officer of
Streamline Health. "Since our acquisition of Atlanta-based Interpoint Partners, LLC last
December, we have found that our ability to attract and retain
experienced healthcare information technology associates has been
greatly enhanced."
The move strategically positions the company in a location that
will provide greater ease of access to its clients and investors
throughout the world. Additionally, Atlanta is recognized by the Metro Atlanta
Chamber of Commerce as the 'Nation's Health IT Capital.' This
designation is supported in part due to the city's prominence in
the HCI 100—the annual ranking of the top healthcare IT firms by
the industry publication Healthcare Informatics.
"With more than 250 health IT companies, and growing, metro
Atlanta is a hub for health IT
activity," said David Hartnett, Vice
President of Health IT Industry Development, Metro Atlanta Chamber
and co-founder of the Institute for Healthcare Information
Technology (iHIT). "The city is home to some of the country's
leading universities which offer a continuum of education and
career development programs specifically focused on health IT,
helping to ensure that Streamline Health has access to top talent.
On behalf of the Metro Atlanta Chamber, I am pleased to welcome the
company to our community."
