Tribune Publishing Expands Roles of Three Leaders

Tribune Publishing Company (NASDAQ:TPCO) announced today
that three senior leaders from the business and the editorial
side – Maya Bordeaux, Colin McMahon and Grant Whitmore – are being
named to new strategic leadership roles as the Company accelerates
its transition to a digital future.

said Timothy P. Knight, CEO and President, Tribune
Publishing. “I have great confidence they will work
effectively with our whole team as we move the business
forward.”
Maya Bordeaux is now Senior Vice
President/Chief Human Resources and Communications Officer.
Bordeaux oversees all people strategies, programs and services
provided to employees across the company. In addition, Bordeaux
will now lead the company’s internal and external communications
teams. She joined Tribune Publishing in 2018 with more than 20
years of HR leadership experience with companies including Wilton
Brands LLC, McDonald’s Corp., NorthShore University HealthSystem
and University of Chicago Medical Center. Bordeaux holds
a Juris Doctor degree and Master of Business Administration degree
from Loyola University Chicago, and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences
degree from San Diego State University.
Colin McMahon is now Senior Vice
President/Chief Content Officer. An industry leader in using data
and audience research to drive decision-making, McMahon will work
closely with each newsroom to reach more readers on all platforms
and widen the impact of the company's journalism. McMahon also will
oversee the editorial operations of Tribune Content Agency,
expanding the creation and distribution of non-local content valued
by local audiences. Before taking on a corporate role in 2017,
McMahon was Associate Editor at Chicago Tribune, focusing on new
product development, digital audience growth and newsroom culture
change. Earlier in his career, McMahon served as a metropolitan
reporter, foreign correspondent and cross-media editor. McMahon is
a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University.
Grant Whitmore is now Senior Vice
President/Chief Digital Operations Officer. Whitmore will
continue to lead the Company’s growing digital indirect revenue
business, which includes programmatic and partnership revenue. He
also will oversee the Company’s central digital operations, working
closely with Tribune’s local market leadership. In addition,
Whitmore will be the Company’s lead on projects and opportunities
with Apple, Facebook, Google, Twitter and others. Over the
last year, Whitmore was responsible for all aspects of digital
strategy at the New York Daily News where he helped establish it as
a leader in growing audience, pageviews and revenue. Prior to
Tribune Publishing, Whitmore served in leadership roles as VP &
GM, Hearst Magazines and COO Digital, Hachette-Filipacchi
US. Whitmore is a graduate of Arizona State University.
All three will continue to report to Tim Knight.
