Disney CFO: Still Concerns About 'TV Everywhere'

Walt Disney Co. (DIS) Chief Financial Officer Tom Staggs said
Tuesday that the company has so far avoided the Time Warner (TWX)
-led "TV Everywhere" experiment because it doesn't offer its
networks enough money in return for allowing their shows to be
streamed over the Web.
"A new opportunity to reach consumers is very attractive...[but]
we want to do so in a way that delivers proper compensation [to us]
for that value," Staggs said, speaking at an investor conference
that was Webcast.
Staggs also said Disney doesn't want to participate in something
that uses online access to TV shows as a "cudgel" to force
consumers to subscribe to a video service to get that access.
