GE Appoints Four New Company Officers

GE (NYSE: GE) announced today the appointment of four new
Company officers. Effective August 1, 2016, GE will have about 190
officers globally who lead large revenue-generating businesses or
are in critical technology or functional roles, helping to drive
growth.
Ganesh Bell, 44, has been promoted to Vice President
& Chief Digital Officer, GE Power. Ganesh joined GE in 2014.
Prior to GE, he was Executive Vice President & Chief Products
Officer at Service Source. He previously held executive strategy
and software leadership roles at SAP, PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards.
Ganesh earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from University of
Madras in India and a master’s in computer science from North
Dakota State University.
Tamla D. Oates-Forney, 44, has been promoted to Vice
President, Human Resources, GE Energy Connections. Tamla joined GE
in 1998. During 18 years with GE, her career has spanned across GE
businesses and regions in human resources. She has held many
executive roles in diversity and human resources in GE Capital,
Appliances & Lighting, Energy, Oil & Gas, Global Growth
Organization, and Energy Connections. Tamla earned a bachelor’s
degree in business administration from the University of North
Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Tara A. Plimpton, 47, has been promoted to Vice
President & General Counsel, GE Energy Connections. With a
career spanning more than 20 years in law, Tara joined GE in 2002
and progressed through numerous General Counsel roles including
General Counsel for GE Transportation. Prior to joining GE, Tara
was managing partner at Brooke, Shaw, Plimpton and Zumpft and
served as a Law Clerk for C. Clifton Young on the Supreme Court for
the State of Nevada. She earned a bachelor’s degree in
international affairs from the University of Nevada and her law
degree from Georgetown Law.
James D. Richards, 39, has been promoted to Vice
President, Chief Information Officer for GE Healthcare. James has
worked his entire career in GE after joining in 1999 as part of the
Financial Management Program (FMP). His career has progressed
through many executive positions across GE businesses in Corporate
Audit Staff (CAS), Finance, Operations, and Digital. James earned a
bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Vermont.
