TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2011 /CNW/ -- TORONTO, Aug. 9, 2011 /CNW/ - Augyva Mining Resources Inc. (TSX-V: AUV) ("Augyva") board Chairman, Sandy Chim, and independent directors Kerry Damon Smith and Michael Skutezky, as well as Dr. Augustine Chow, released the following statement today: "We were surprised to learn that management had issued a press release yesterday morning claiming that Mr. Robert Tremblay had been appointed to our board as a new director and that Dr. Augustine Chow had resigned as a director. At no time was Mr. Tremblay appointed to the board of directors. There is no question about this. The circumstances surrounding Dr. Chow's purported resignation are currently being reviewed by the independent directors and counsel. The Chairman has called a board meeting for Saturday, August 13, 2011 and has consulted with counsel to review the situation and work with management to discuss the proper legal proceedings to rectify the situation.  Up to the point of this release there has been no satisfactory response. In addition, at this time, no Management Information Circular for the upcoming August 29, 2011 Annual General Meeting has been properly approved by the board of directors. The result is that the circular that was issued yesterday was not properly issued. The TSX Venture Exchange has also been briefed on this situation. Appropriate updates will be provided to the market." About Augyva Mining Resources Inc.
