Augyva Mining Resources Inc. (Augyva or the Company) (TSX VENTURE:AUV) today announced that it has appointed Jeffrey D. Sherman as Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Mr. Sherman will be responsible for all aspects of the Company's administration, compliance, reporting and finance activities.

Mr. Sherman is a Chartered Accountant and has had extensive experience as a director or CFO of numerous corporations. He has authored 21 books in the finance area, and lectured extensively on finance, treasury and governance, including as an adjunct professor at York University, and has created and presented many executive development and other programs for Institutes of Chartered Accountants across Canada. He continues to serve (also on a part-time basis) as the CFO of two other public companies in the metals and mining industry.

Mr. Sherman replaces John L. Knowles, a director of the Company, who has served as interim CFO. Augyva thanks Mr. Knowles for his contribution during this transition period.

Augyva also announced today that George Wahl of GH Wahl & Associates Consulting has been retained as the Company's consulting geologist to provide geological and mineral resource expertise for the Company. Mr. Wahl is a Professional Geologist and holds an MA from the University of Waterloo and has many years experience in mining and exploration around the world, including numerous iron ore projects. Mr. Wahl will also serve as one of the Company's representatives on the technical committee in place with its joint venture partner, Canadian Century Iron Ore Corp., for the Duncan Lake Iron Ore Project.

About Augyva Mining Resources Inc.

Augyva is an exploration and development company holding five (5) properties located in the James Bay and Abitibi regions of the Province of Quebec. Its major project is its interest in the Duncan Lake Iron Ore Property located in the western part of the La Grande Greenstone Belt. The property is accessible by road and covers 5,848 hectares. A National Instrument 43-101 compliant technical report on the mineral resource was prepared by Met-Chem Canada Inc. and was released in March 2010. The Duncan Lake Iron Ore Property is subject to a joint venture agreement between Augyva Resources and Century Iron Mines Corporation which has earned a 51% interest and is currently making additional exploration expenditures to increase their interest to 65%.

In addition to the Duncan Lake Iron Ore Project, Augyva holds a 100% interest in four other mineral properties, namely: Yasinski and Kali in the James Bay region and Senneville and Malartic in the Abitibi region. At these mineral properties, the exploration focus is for other than iron ore.
