Blue Biofuels ("Blue Bio") (OTCQB: BIOF), is revolutionizing the biofuel industry. We have developed and patented technology to convert fully renewable, cellulosic, non-food feedstocks -- like grasses, agricultural wastes, and other plant material -- into biofuel, in a low-cost, environmentally friendly, and carbon friendly process. Our modular, easily scalable Cellulose-to-Sugar (CTS) technology allows rapid conversion of almost any biomass into soluble sugars for further processing into bioethanol and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). The process has a near zero carbon footprint in that the amount of added atmospheric carbon created by burning the cellulosic ethanol produced by the CTS system is reabsorbed/recycled by newly grown plant materials that are harvested as feedstock for the next round of cellulosic ethanol produced. Sulfur free lignin is a by-product, and it has a wide array of potential commercial applications. The Company believes that biofuel originating from its CTS process will be eligible to receive the US EPA's generous D3 cellulosic Renewable Fuel Credits. The D3 RIN credit for each gallon of ethanol has ranged between $2.00 and $3.34 since the beginning of 2022. This incentive is offered to all domestic cellulosic fuel producers whose fuel is used in the transportation industry. The EPA's D3 RIN volume mandates for cellulosic biofuels include 840 million gallons for 2023, 1.09 billion gallons for 2024, and 1.38 billion gallons for 2025. Show more

All these firms have big hedge fund money. Your trying (I assume) to get ahead of the hedge funds.

Notice BP & Valero are on that list. Huge market cap, not much of a chance for a 10 bagger there

Everyday a meme coin or shit stock is blasting off just out of thin air, markets are at ath daily, yet we cannot raise some capital and move this into something real. I wonder what would happen if a recession hits. Ben took office as the ceo for 6 years now, and we are down on the stock a lot. When will the miracle happen?!

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
NewJerichoMan NewJerichoMan 2 months ago
The FEL-2 (Front-End Loading Phase 2) design phase is a stage in project development that focuses on defining and refining the project's scope, schedule, and cost estimates (feasibility: technically & economically). It's a "decision making gate" before the big time move of FEL-3 (full-on commercial scale) or terminate the project.

Pros - we have external validation via the $1.15 million DOE grant.
Cons - building a production facility and scaling technology require significant capital, which we probably don't have.

Like it really matters at this stage who is in the white house. We are talking about a tiny company who has to prove they can manufacture at cheap cost at scale. There is plenty of market for ethanol, whether it is trump or the devil in the white house. The problem is not in the politicians here, the issue is when are we going to produce and build a plant, and raise cash.
๐Ÿ‘๏ธ0
brooklyn137 brooklyn137 2 months ago
Thanks, smokey1. I was surprised to hear about this so I checked. You are correct. Two cautions, however. This was in the context of the Iowa caucuses, and Iowans are in favor of ethanol for obvious reasons. Like every other politician from Bill Bradley to everyone, DeSantis said he was in favor of ethanol when campaigning in Iowa after having voted against ethanol in Congress. When in Iowa everyone is for ethanol. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/07/07/trump-desantis-ethanol-00105239

Second, Trump is a bit of a will of the wisp. Just because he supported it then doesn't mean he will support it now.

What may be more important for us is that ethanol primarily benefits rural (red) states, which are part of Trump's and the Republican's base. That may give him enough incentive and enough Republican pressure to keep him in line for us.

Also, Elon Musk's Tesla gets benefits from the Inflation Reduction Act for his electric cars. Unlikely Trump will try to unwind them.

I think management would treat shareholders better if they need us to fund their future investments. It would not surprise me if management offers to buy us out . In my opinion both Blue Biofuel and Vertimass are sitting on goldmines. They have lucky/great engineers. Let's do some more research and respect each others point of view since management wouldn't talk to us as adults.
Good luck

Vertimass reached the top 50 in the digest list, while Gevo is number one. However, Blue biofuel is not even on the list. It seems like Gevo is much closer to breaking ground and starting to make money, on top of DOE support of over a billion dollars.

I can not guess on what will happen in the future when it comes to financing. I can tell you that every private placement holders are all way under water and the coffers have been low for quite some time. The board has been keeping us going which is actually a good sign. We were promised a third party analysis of how the cts system works and produces over 2 years ago but it was never released which is a concern. Much of this would go away if they would just have a call with the shareholders to let them know what our timeline and path is to profitability. Silence only produces anxiety and doubtfulness in their shareholder partners. Thank you for your frank conversation.

Hi Folks,
Raising money may NOT be such a problem for the VertiBlue organization as we think. Both the front end as well as the backend of such an ethanol and jetfuel productions came into being through serendipity which in this case means luck through very hard work. Blue Biofuel was able to manufacture its cellulosic ethanol feedstock while by-passing a number of expensive production processes. Vertimass after 10 years of research got their CADO process to be accepted being possibly viable without very expensive intermediate steps that chemical engineers had expected to be included in manufacturing process in order to produce jet fuel. The management of UGI has agreement with Vertimass to build 20 such plants in 15 years.
Do you guys really think we would have difficulty raising funds for an ethanol plant?
