Carrefour SA and Tesco PLC will not extend a purchasing alliance
agreement when it ends this year, the two grocers said Monday.
France's Carrefour and U.K. peer Tesco in 2018 agreed to join
together in a three-year purchasing alliance, which will end on
Dec. 31 this year.
The partnership has enabled access to new suppliers, sources and
products but the two companies will now focus on their own
opportunities, the pair said.
