Perla Group International Inc., (PINKSHEETS: PERL) an emerging leader in the international military, police and security solutions sectors, today announced it has procured $4.5 million of satellite and teleport communications infrastructure and will build a world class teleport facility.

Perla Group International President and CEO Charles D'Alberto said the company plans to build the new facility in the Mediterranean with Cyprus being the leading candidate.

"We anticipate making a final decision on the location by the end of this month and begin construction in February," D'Alberto said. "The new teleport facility should take approximately three months to complete and we anticipate it will increase revenue of that division to approximately $10 million during the current fiscal year."

D'Alberto said that the new facility will provide a multitude of services including; VSAT, equipment and server hosting, VoIP, satellite monitoring as well as a host of other telecommunications services. He said the facility will also house a 24/7 NOC (network operations center).

The Company recently announced it had secured three separate orders from the U.S. Military in Afghanistan for armored vehicles. These orders, valued at $1 million, are the result of direct bids. Additionally the Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding for a total of 143 "trained and certified" Explosives Detection Dogs. The first group of 23 were delivered in December with the balance to be delivered in 2011. The dogs will be utilized by the Iraqi Police Force. That contract is valued at $1.8 million.

The division has recently secured direct supply contracts with the US military, and has plans to expand rapidly with a view to investing in manufacturing facilities in both the Middle East and the USA.

Perla K-9 Services -- Through the world renowned Von Forell facilities in Melbourne, Australia Perla offers the finest breed dogs trained under the best in the industry. Perla K-9 services are utilized by law enforcement and as detection dogs. They conduct training seminars as well as tactical, anti-terrorism and security training services.

D'Alberto said that although the Company's divisions operate independently they work together quite often and cross pollinate as customers of one division are quick to take advantage of products.
