Volkswagen To Pay EUR4,000 Bonus To Factory Workers In Germany

Dow Jones News
Volkswagen AG (VOW.XE) employees at six factories in western
Germany will get a total bonus of EUR4,000 for their work in 2010,
Volkswagen's top labor representative Bernd Osterloh said in a
statement Monday.
The announcement follows an agreement between VW's executive
board and workers' union.
The workers got the first EUR1,314 of the payment in November
and will receive the remaining EUR2686 in May, the company
said.
Osterloh said the basis of the talks was a profit-sharing
agreement in place since 2006, by which VW factory workers receive
10% of operating profits from the passenger car brand.
