                    TRADING UPDATE - 29th JANUARY 2001

ALPHA Flight Services is delighted to announce the renewal of a 5 year
contract at 11 UK regional airports with Britannia Airways.  The new contract,
commencing on 1 February, is for catering and bonded store services.  The
contract further extends our longstanding relationship with Britannia Airways,
one of our largest customers.  We have successfully commissioned our new,
state-of-the-art kitchen at London's Heathrow Airport on time and on budget,
with no unexpected costs arising from the closure of the two, old kitchens
that have now been replaced.  This Heathrow kitchen principally services
United Airlines and Air Canada.  Within Inflight Retail, we have agreed terms
on a 5 year pan-European contract for catering and retail services on board
easyJet.

ALPHA Travel Retail are investing in new Travel Value and Duty Free shop
facilities at Manchester's Terminal 1, under a 7 year contract, and our
RoadChef trial has been extended for 1 year to incorporate a further 3 CTN
motorway service shops.

We are pleased to report that overall trading for the second half 2000/01 is
in line with market expectations.
