Attention business/financial editors and reporters:

Aeroquest International Limited (TSX:AQL) ("Aeroquest") announces the
establishment of its new Multi-Client survey business, Aeroquest Data Services
Ltd. (ADSL) established to provide its clients with an alternative to
traditional exclusive contract survey services.

ADSL will work with clients to design and fly non-exclusive airborne geophysical
surveys, providing all the design, logistical, field services, as well as data
processing, and enhanced interpretive products. ADSL will retain ownership of
the data and make that data available to sponsoring parties on an exclusive
basis under certain conditions and to other interested parties after the expiry
of any exclusivity periods.

"Non-exclusive surveys give us the opportunity to provide attractive survey
rates to sponsoring parties in exchange for ownership of the survey data," said
Jim Genereux, Vice President, Petroleum Services, at Aeroquest International,
who has been appointed to run ADSL, "Over time, we expect to build a large and
valuable data library of magnetic, magnetic gradient, gravity and
electromagnetic surveys in highly prospective exploration areas around the
world."

As its first survey, ADSL will shortly begin a 100,000 line kilometer fixed wing
magnetic survey in the Fort Worth Basin of Texas, targeting the resource rich
gas shale play of the Barnett Shale formation. 100 percent of the costs of this
survey have been pre-funded, and the data will be available for licensing to
interested parties upon the completion of data acquisition.

ADSL is currently developing multi-client survey opportunities in other
prospective hydrocarbon regions of the United States and Canada as well as
certain locations on the continents of Africa and Asia, and expects to operate
on a basis where all of the costs of a given survey are covered prior to the
commencement of work.

"The establishment of ADSL is the next logical step in the expansion of our
Mining and Petroleum Services initiatives" said Roy Graydon, President & CEO of
Aeroquest International, "by sharing some of the up-front risk with our
customers, we can put ourselves in a position to benefit proportionally in the
future, and in many cases earn higher returns for our shareholders than in the
more traditional contract survey work."
