Franchise expansion continues
Aud $3 million in deals



Bartercard is pleased to announce a solid six months of franchise sales in its
100% owned UK and Australian operations



Over the last six months sales of new franchises, resales of existing franchises
and on sales of  established company owned operations has added revenues and
future growth potential to the group's network.



In Australia 5 sales since August, for a total of A$1.6 million will net
Bartercard A$766,000. The deals include the sale of one established company
owned operation in Brisbane, two new area sales and two resales of independently
owned franchises - one of which is a company in which Bartercard Director and
co-founder Andrew Federowsky is a silent partner.



In the UK 5 deals valued at # 524,000 (A$1.25 mil) will net #132,000
(A$317,000), and include the company reacquiring 3 franchise areas, the sale of
one new area and resale of another to an established franchisee.



In Australia, Bartercard has a developed network of 60 offices, of which 55 are
independently owned as franchisees. The UK operation has only 15 offices now of
which 5 are company owned, but it has the potential for over 150 franchises.
Progressing towards that target is the main focus of executive management this
year.
