Cairngorm Demutualisation Investment Trust plc (The Company)

The Company has been advised that Blue Planet Investments Ltd, a company owned
by Mr K C Murray, a director of the Company, acquired on Thursday 26 October
2000, 15,000 ordinary shares of 50p each in the Company ("ordinary shares") at
73p per share.  Mr Murray is, following this acquisition, beneficially
interested in 535,500 ordinary shares (of which 437,500 are held by Blue
Planet Investments Ltd) representing 3.76 per cent of the Company's issued
ordinary share capital.
