Chloride Group PLC ("Chloride") has today received notification pursuant to Part
V of the Companies Act 1989, Section 134, that the material interest in the 25p
Ordinary Shares ("Shares") of Chloride by Standard Life Group - whose interest
had previously been disclosed on 9 May 2001 in a total of 9,809,447 Shares
(3.96%) - is now 10,097,092 Shares, representing 4.08% of the issued share
capital of Chloride.
