Appointment of Director

FBD Holdings plc ("FBD") is pleased to announce the a ppointment of an additional independent non-executive director.

Ms Jean Sharp has been appointed to the Board of FBD Holdings plc and FBD Insurance plc as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect .

Ms Sharp is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland and an experienced Financial Services Executive. Until December 2019 she was Chief Taxation Officer of Aviva and its predecessor companies, a role she had held since 1998. She is a former partner in Ernst & Young, a Big Four Accounting Firm.

Ms Sharp is an independent non-executive director of Personal Assets Trust Plc which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250 index.

The Chairman, Mr Liam Herlihy, said:

"On behalf of the Board I welcome Jean to FBD. She has considerable knowledge and experience that will be an asset to FBD now and into the future. I look forward to working alongside her in delivering for FBD and its stakeholders."

This announcement is made in accordance with Listing Rule 6.1.64 of Euronext Dublin's Listing Rules and Rule 9.6.11 of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules. The Group confirms that there are no further matters requiring disclosure under Rule 6.1.66(2)-(6) of Euronext Dublin Listing Rules/Rule 9.6.13(2)-(6) of the London Stock Exchange Listing Rules.
