You don't get to decide what is and what isn't "overtly illegal"; that's the job of the judicial branch. And without involving the judicial branch, i.e. filing a lawsuit (and in this case winning it), you cannot claim that something is illegal.

When the courts release Lehman from the POR, and it leaves the expert market due to reorg , I'll thank you for that prediction. I'm not one currently for believing others crystal balls. But try to pump the 4 ct's for parlay all you want. It makes my life way more interesting.

I believe there is a good chance that Treasury believes a writedown is illegal. It isn't a black-and-white thing; I can only estimate it as a probability because (as you like to point out) I don't know exactly what Treasury is thinking.

The CT’s are Asset Backed Just Like the Series P.

I expect the similar performance gains from the CT’s as the covered preferred shares.

Hence; ABS/RMBS covered by performing Trusts.

The Derivatives just need to pay us back for the losses to the performing
