Independent Non-Executive Director Appointments
Mattioli Woods plc (AIM: MTW.L), the specialist wealth
management and employee benefits business, is pleased to announce
the appointment of three new independent Non-Executive Directors,
David Kiddie, Edward Knapp and Martin Reason with immediate
effect.
David Kiddie has significant asset management and investment
oversight expertise across different asset classes and during his
executive career held Chief Investment Officer and Head of Equities
roles at major organisations including AMP Capital, ABN AMRO Asset
Management, Baring Asset Management and Rothschild Asset
Management. David was also CEO for BNP Paribas Asset Management
(UK) and Group Executive for Perpetual Investments (Australia).
Edward Knapp is a specialist in financial services technology,
innovation and growth. His areas of expertise include
cyber-security, data and cloud transformation, risk, compliance and
strategy. During his executive career he held senior roles at HSBC
Bank plc, Barclays Bank plc and McKinsey & Company and is
currently a Non-Executive Director for F&C Investment Trust
plc. Edward has agreed to take on the role of Chairman of our Risk
& Compliance Committee from Anne Gunther.
Martin Reason has significant expertise in strategic planning,
change management and creating operational resilience. His last
executive role was as Chief Executive Officer of Melton Mowbray
Building Society. Prior to that he held senior roles at
organisations including Merrill Lynch, HSBC Bank plc and Midland
Bank plc, specialising in product development and customer
service.
After a transition period to effect the handovers, the
composition of the Board committees will be:
-- Audit Committee:
Anne Gunther (Chairman), Joanne Lake, Carol Duncumb and Edward
Knapp;
-- Risk & Compliance Committee:
Edward Knapp (Chairman), Anne Gunther, David Kiddie and Martin
Reason;
-- Nomination Committee:
Joanne Lake (Chairman), Anne Gunther, David Kiddie and Ian
Mattioli;
-- Remuneration Committee:
Carol Duncumb (Chairman), Anne Gunther, Joanne Lake and Martin
Reason.
Following these appointments, together with those as previously
announced of Ravi Tara, Michael Wright and Iain McKenzie (which are
subject to final regulatory approval), the Company will continue to
have a balanced board which we believe represents the right
governance structure for the Company.
