    Premier High Income Trust PLC

The Company has today been informed that on 8 November 2004 Dawnay, Day
Properties Limited purchased 1,940,000 Ordinary shares, representing 9.97% of
the Ordinary issued share capital. In addition Dawnay, Day Properties Limited
is interested in a further 1,470,000 Ordinary shares held by its 100% owned
subsidiary, Dawnay, Day Split Investments Plc (formerly Govett High Income
Investment Trust Plc).

Dawnay, Day Properties Limited is thus interested in an aggregate holding of
3,410,000 ordinary shares representing 17.53% of the Ordinary issued share
capital.
