Sa ab selects Steatite for Naval Antenna Assembly
Solid State plc (AIM: SOLI), the specialist value added
component supplier and design-in manufacturer of computing, power,
and communications products, is pleased to announce that it has
entered into a multi-million pound agreement to work with Saab AB
Surveillance, headquartered in Sweden, on a naval ELINT antenna
system through its Systems division, Steatite.
Saab and Steatite have signed a framework agreement across
Steatite's five business units to design, test and deliver
high-quality RF and wireless communication equipment from its broad
portfolio. The company will supply elements from its world-leading
antenna design and manufacturing facilitity in Leominster, UK,
amongst other components.
Commenting on the agreement, Matthew Richards, MD of Steatite,
said: "We're very pleased to have entered into this agreement with
Saab. It's a strong testament to the extensive capabilities we have
now that the Solid State group has grown organically and through
acquisition over the last few years. We look forward to working
with such an innovative and reputable solutions provider."
