US Airways Unveils 11 New Washington GoFares Markets ARLINGTON,
Va., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- US Airways(R) today
announced the addition of 11 destinations to its Washington
GoFares(R), increasing the breadth of its low, simplified pricing
structure in the nation's capital by nearly 40 percent. New
Washington GoFares are available immediately for travel to and from
Burlington, Vt., Columbus and Dayton, Ohio, Greensboro, N.C.,
Greenville, S.C., Hartford, Conn., Indianapolis, Knoxville, Tenn.,
Louisville, Ky., Manchester, N.H., and Providence, R.I. "We could
not be more pleased with how customers have taken to our new
simple, low fare structure. With these new markets, we now offer
GoFares to more than 50 percent of our customers traveling on
domestic flights to and from Washington," said Andrew P. Nocella,
US Airways vice president of network and revenue management. "We
have said from the start that we intend GoFares to be a hallmark of
our airline in the future, and this milestone underscores that

simple, however, in addition to the fare, the federal government
requires that the company collect a tax of $3.10 every time a
customer takes off on one of US Airways' planes, plus $2.50 per
segment, up to $10 per trip (the September 11th Security Fee). Some
of the airports that customers might visit also charge up to $4.50
for passing through, but the total is capped at $18 per trip. The
lowest fares must be purchased 14 or 21 days in advance, are based
on required roundtrip purchase, a one-night minimum stay, and are
nonrefundable. Last minute fares are available one-way. Other

GoFares on June 18, 2004. They now are available on 39 routes.
Washington GoFares are simple, with no Coach fare ever more than
$499* each way, and no Saturday-night stay requirement. Travel is
valid to and from both Dulles International and Reagan National
