--India's Torrent Pharmaceuticals is preparing a 2 billion euros ($2.5 billion) bid for Sanofi's generic-drugs unit Zentiva, reports Indian business newspaper Mint, citing two unnamed sources.

--Reuters had earlier reported that Torrent and Brazilian drug maker EMS were the only two industry bidders shortlisted by Sanofi for the unit.
