Energy Resources Australia Seeks OK For Heap Leach Project

Energy Resources of Australia Ltd. (ERA.AU) said Monday it
applied for government approval of a heap leach expansion project
at the Ranger uranium mine in Australia's Northern Territory.
If approved, the heap leach facility will result in production
of 15,000 to 20,000 metric tons of uranium oxide a year.
ERA's pre-feasbility study into the heap leach project is
expected to be completed within the first half of 2009.
ERA is the world's fourth largest uranium producer.
